What is "I Trade Handmade"?
I trade Handmade was started by the lovely Ashley. Everyone experiences different points in their lives when change is needed. Some are good, some are bad, and some are just events in a normal course of ones life. In the end all we can hope for is that we learn, grow, and hope to become more fulfilled people. Ashley was kind enough to pass along "i trade handmade" to me to keep something wonderful going.
Here are her own words on how and why it was created....
Since I have gotten into blogging
and after joining the Etsy community,
I have discovered SO MANY AMAZING crafters and artists.
If we lived in a perfect world I would buy something from
every one of your amazing shops!
BUT, my bank account would definitely not agree with this,
and I am sure you feel the same way.
When Kathleen from Cherry Red Studio
bought something from my store a few weeks back,
I headed over to her blog and eventually found her Etsy.
I saw so many things that I would love to have,
and I of course bought a beautiful necklace
BUT
What did we accomplish?
of course we got the goods we wanted,
but nether of us really made money.
Essentially we just TRADED!
LIGHT BULB!
What if we all wanted to trade crafts?!
I think it would be so much fun if
everyone in our little blog/etsy community,
who is willing to trade their handmade lovelies
for OTHER treasures made by OTHER bloggers,
would add a button to there blog, stating
I TRADE HANDMADE!
If you see the the "i trade handmade" badge on a blog and you would like to trade with that person send them an email and set up a trade. Don't be shy everyone is nice and none of them bite. Or if you want to find someone to trade with click on one of the links above and make a new friend. It's easy, just ask them "would you like to trade"?
Buttons are at the bottom of this page.
Traders:
under those neon lights
