type.type.type.

I've been eyeballing typewriters for a little over a month and this past weekend I was lucky enough to stumble upon this lovely lady.
She is an Olympia SM3 from the 50's.  As far as I can tell she is in perfect working order and I am pleased as punch.  The ribbon is a bit dry and works a little but I order some new ones from ebay which should be here soon.
I never thought I would be someone into vintage or antique things but as I get older I appreciate them much more.
Do you collect or look for vintage items?  Where do you go?  I don't know about the entire state of Florida but I have a hard time finding good places to go looking for things in the Tampabay area.

  1. I love typewriters! It's fascinating to think they used to be worth as much as a laptop is today. I got my first (working) one in late May and it's a dream come true! My favorite places are flea markets, but mostly I just "window" shop online for old antique things.
